Ein Treffen des Bratschenvirtuosen und Sängers, bekannt aus der Kroke-Formation - Tomasz Kukurba und Stanisław Słowiński - einer der südlichsten Jazz-Geiger der jüngeren Generation.
Im Konzert hören wir vor allem die Originalkompositionen der Bandleader, aber auch Neuarrangements bereits bekannter Songs; ihr ursprünglicher Musikvorschlag schöpft aus den Traditionen von Jazz, Rock und Weltmusik.
Tomasz Kukurba
"Wie jeder Musiker, Künstler oder Kunstmann sagen würde: Ich werde so lange kreieren, wie ich nach etwas suche, das ich nicht einmal benennen kann" - sagte Tomasz Kukurba in einem Buch über die Kroke-Gruppe, das im Vierteljahr erschienen ist. Jahrhundert-Jubiläum dieser legendären Formation. Er fuhr fort: „Diesen Weg suche ich immer noch, nicht weil ich ihn finden möchte, sondern weil ich muss. Kukurba, ein in Polen und der Welt bekannter Künstler, Frontmann der Band Kroke, Bratscher, Autor charakteristischer Vokalisen, beschloss - ohne die Auftritte in seiner Mutterband aufzugeben -, sein eigenes Repertoire auszuprobieren und sich mit Stanisław Słowiński zusammenzuschließen, um eine a Programm, das zwei extrem bunte und unterschiedliche Musikwelten vereint.
Auf seinem künstlerischen Weg hat Kukurba als Teil des Kroke-Trios Künstler wie Nigel Kennedy, die mongolische Künstlerin Urna Chahar-Tugchi, Peter Gabriel, Natasha Atlas, Amir John Haddad, Anna Maria Jopek, Tomasz Stańko und auf der polnischen Seite kennengelernt Musikszene arbeitete er mit Grzegorz Turnau, Magda Umer, Ewa Bem, Joanna Słowińska und Renata Przemyk zusammen.
Stanisław Słowiński
Einem der führenedn Jazzgeiger, Komponist, Musikproduzent; einer der aktivsten Schöpfer der europäischen Musikszene. Als Leiter eigener Projekte tritt er regelmäßig auf Bühnen auf der ganzen Welt auf. Sein Debüt gab er mit dem Album Landscapes too Easy to Explain, das international vom renommierten Verlag Hevhetia veröffentlicht wurde. Während der ersten Konzerttournee besuchte er mit seiner Band viele europäische Länder, er nahm auch an der größten polnischen Jazzkonzerttournee in China in der Geschichte teil - Jazzpopolsku. Ein weiteres Autorenalbum Visions | Zwischen Liebe und Tod, aufgenommen mit der Gruppe Stanisław Słowiński Sextet, fand bei Kritikern und Publikum Anerkennung, und seine erste Konzerttournee umfasste Dutzende von Konzerten in vielen europäischen und asiatischen Ländern. Neben der Konzerttätigkeit ist er auch als Komponist, Arrangeur und Musikproduzent äußerst aktiv; Diskographie mit seiner Beteiligung: Exekutive, Komposition, Autor und "Gast" - ist bereits mehrere Dutzend Alben groß. "As any musician, artist, or man of art would say: I will create as long as I look for something that I can't even name" - said Tomasz Kukurba in a book dedicated to the Kroke group, published in the quarter-century anniversary of this legendary formation. He continued: "I am still looking for this path, not because I would like to find it, but because I have to. Because it just calls me..." These words can also be treated as the motto of his latest activities. Kukurba, an artist known in Poland and in the world, frontman of the Kroke band, violist, author of characteristic vocalises, decided - without giving up performances in his mother band - to try his own repertoire and join forces with Stanisław Słowiński to build a program combining two extremely colorful and various musical worlds.
On his artistic trail Kukurba, as a part of the Kroke trio, has met such artists as Nigel Kennedy, Mongolian artist Urna Chahar-Tugchi, Peter Gabriel, Natasha Atlas, Amir John Haddad, Anna Maria Jopek, Tomasz Stańko, and on the Polish music scene he collaborated with Grzegorz Turnau, Magda Umer, Ewa Bem, Joanna Słowińska and Renata Przemyk.
Stanisław Słowiński
Violinist, composer, music producer; one of the most active creators of the European music scene. As a leader of his own projects, he regularly performs on stages all around the world. He made his debut with the album Landscapes too Easy to Explain, which was released internationally by the prestigious Hevhetia publishing house. During the premiere concert tour he visited many European countries with his band, he also took part in the largest Polish jazz concert tour in China in history - Jazzpopolsku. Another authorial album Visions | Between Love and Death recorded with the group Stanisław Słowiński Sextet met with the appreciation of critics and the audience, and his premiere concert tour included dozens of concerts in many European and Asian countries. In addition to concert activities, he is also extremely active as a composer, arranger and music producer; discography with his participation: executive, compositional, author's and "guest" - is already several dozen albums big. He is also the creator of film and theater music.
