MILANO SHANGHAI is a trio from Milan, Italy, rooted in the underground and multi-ethnic layer of their city. The musical backgrounds of the three, Giovanni Doneda, Stefano Elli and Pietro Gregori, converge in this project, blending Acid House atmospheres with drum&bass rhythms, alt/electronic pop refrains with groovy basslines. The lyrics combine dreamlike settings with urban night-time scenarios. From 2022, they begin to bring their project live, playing the main clubs in Italy (focusing on Milan) and Switzerland, now the second time in Germany. MILANO SHANGHAI ist ein Trio aus Mailand, Italien, verwurzelt im Untergrund und in der multi-ethnischen Schicht ihrer Stadt. Die musikalischen Hintergründe der drei, Giovanni Doneda, Stefano Elli und Pietro Gregori, laufen in diesem Projekt zusammen und vermischen Acid-House-Atmosphären mit Drum&Bass-Rhythmen, alt/elektronischen Pop- Refrains mit groovigen Basslines. Die Texte verbinden traumhafte Schauplätze mit urbanen Nachtszenarien. Ab 2022 begannen sie, ihr Projekt live zu bringen und spielen in den wichtigsten Clubs in Italien (Schwerpunkt Mailand) und der Schweiz, jetzt zum zweiten Mal in Deutschland.
